Acquire and Sell
A new tip that I would like to go into a lot deeper is domain real estate. I like to call it domain real estate instead of domain reselling, which is what it actually is. There’s a lot of money in domains but most people have no clue. The websites that you may visit multiple times a day may be worth over 10 thousand dollars, maybe even more!
Acquiring and selling is a very simple method to follow. Acquire the domain very cheap or maybe even for free. Sell it for a below market price. For example, I picked up a free domain during the Register.com promo (which is about to end soon, so get yours now!). I then headed over to Namepros and sold it for 40 NP$, which is about equivalent to $9.20. It only took me a couple minutes to checkout the domain and then I put it in the Namepros auction. The bids kept coming in for about 3 days, and so I ended the auction. I made $10 that easily! Imagine doing this 10 times each day! That’s $100/day and on a larger scale, $36000/year. I like big numbers!
Acquire:
First, you need to get a domain. You can register a domain, but that cuts our profit to $4, which is not at good as $10. You can easily find unwanted domains in domain forums like ddboard.com, namepros.com, dnforum.com, etc. If you can’t find a free domain, it’s not too hard to find one for a low price. You may have to use the forum’s currency to purchase the domain. Even if the domain isn’t one that you would ever use, someone else is probably willing to pay for it!
Sell:
This portion of the process is practically automated. I will use Namepros as my example. Once you have your domain, go to the domain auction forum. Post your domains detail and let the price of your domain rise continually! You’re making instant profit. After a while, your REP will get higher and more people will bid since they can trust that you will transfer the domain quickly and securely.
Acquire and Sell is an easy method that can help make you hundreds of dollars in just a few days. Give it a shot and post your experiences as a comment!
